  • What will my package include?

    Whichever package of English pronunciation lessons you select, you will also get full access to the online British pronunciation course materials, which will help you to practice between lessons.

  • How many lessons should I purchase?

    Most students start with a package of 4 English pronunciation lessons/month. This is a rolling subscription that includes full access to all online British accent training materials. Most students have regular lessons for at least 1 year.

  • Are discounts available?

    Yes, discounts up to 80% are available on one-to-one British accent training if you make a 1-year commitment.

  • What times are available?

    If you are in the UK or Western Europe then one-to-one English pronunciation lessons are available from very early in the morning through to the afternoon. If you are in Asia or Australia then one-to-one accent training is available from the late morning until the evening. Book a consultation now to learn more about available times.

  • Can I reschedule lessons?

    Yes. One-to-one British English pronunciation lessons are available 7 days a week and can be rescheduled as much as necessary.

  • Can I cancel anytime?

    Yes. The monthly subscriptions recur automatically but you can easily cancel from your personal student billing page. 1-year packages do not automatically recur.

  • What is the refund policy?

    Your free 30-minute consultation will give you a clear idea of how the accent-reduction lessons will be. If you are still a little unsure then you can start with a package of 4 lessons and cancel after one month if you want. No refund will be given if you change your mind or fail to complete your lessons.

  • What if I miss lessons?

    As long as you are subscribed then you may catch up on any missed lessons from previous months. If you choose a 1-year package of pronunciation lessons then you can schedule your lessons however you like, as long as you complete all within a year.

  • Are group classes available?

    Yes, the group class runs every Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat at 09:00 UCT. Your first time is free and after that it is only £49/month. You also get full access to the online course & video assignments.

Meet John

Hello, I'm John, the creator of SpeakBritishEnglish. I began teaching British pronunciation at a small school in Tokyo in 2009. Then I started my own school in London while completing a degree in Music. I now live in Asia, and conduct one-to-one British pronunciation lessons online. With today's internet speed this works just as well as meeting in person, and is much more time-efficient for students. I approach pronunciation training like music. My first goal is to help you develop an ear for the British accent so that you start to hear English more like a native. Second, I aim for you to break bad habits and develop the muscle memory to be able to produce the fundamental sounds of British English correctly. Finally I aim to help you integrate what you have learned into your everyday speech. I look forward to helping you with your accent.
