Before I didn't know that long vowels can sound shorter in certain words and the words like "pear, spare, aware" are pronounced with a long monophtong in modern British English instead of a dipthong, which I was tought before. Each vowel is shawn by John very clear and precise, with an indepth explanation, so you just take a mirror and start practicing. Hello, I'm John, the creator of SpeakBritishEnglish. I began teaching British pronunciation at a small school in Tokyo in 2009. Then I started my own school in London while completing a degree in Music. I now live in Asia, and conduct one-to-one British pronunciation lessons online. With today's internet speed this works just as well as meeting in person, and is much more time-efficient for students. I approach pronunciation training like music. My first goal is to help you develop an ear for the British accent so that you start to hear English more like a native. Second, I aim for you to break bad habits and develop the muscle memory to be able to produce the fundamental sounds of British English correctly.
